| In May 2007, after a holiday scare - walking up a hill after a restaurant meal - numb arm, shortness of breath and huge pain in the chest - I thought it was a heart attack. After a series of hospital visits, it turns out I had Angina. In July 2007 I had an Angioplasty operation. This is to fit a stent in the blockage of one of the heart arteries that had the blockage. I am now as fit as I can be, have lost loads of weight and have no re-occurance. I have reduced my "fat" diet to a complete non-fat diet. My cholesterol is well down below average. So all good news! See the BEFORE and AFTER pics below:- But first - What is a stent? :- | |
My before op picture. You can see quite clearly the blockage and narrowed artery around the heart:-

And now the After picture of a nice fat artery and no blockage :-

Can't say enough thanks to the Manor Hospital in Oxford (private) who performed the op. First clas service and informative understanding from start to finish. In one day, out the next.
